    Small Fall Landscape

    Goddess-armed, branches foliate
    with red-curled fur; candelabrum arms
    fixed with fans, flames, spikes
    of feather-fire; finials, Asian crowns.

    Eider sky, pelt-gray down, strewn
    spider-tatting, torn clouds.
A long rain, and felled embers on
    a lacquered blaze of ground.
