COLLEGE FOOTBALL: Stratford's Mack eyes starting RB job at Virginia
In other college football spring news, we received this link on former Stratford tailback Torrey Mack, who apparently has made great strides in his first year at the University of Virginia.
According to this story in the Daily Progress of Charlottesville, Va., Mack has impressed both his current and former teammates at Virginia.
Recently graduated tailback Cedric Peerman, who was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the sixth round of last weekend's draft, told the Daily Progress Mack would be the guy to replace him.
“I think he has a very promising future,” Peerman said. "Torrey is really a shifty guy. He has a lot of speed. He has really made good strides this year. He has been one of the guys that impressed a lot of the guys on the team.”
