It's a shame that this strike has gone this far. I'm a retired Marine who flew as a crewmember in helicopters for over 28 years. I know what it takes to keep aircraft in the air and what kind of suppoft that is needed from industry. I'm from the state of Connecticut and have many friends who work for Sikorsky. Why the biography? The management at United Technologies and the people on the line should look in the mirror when they display the American Flag. The timing of this strike is just shit. There are men and women serving in Iraq right now who are relying on industries like Sikorsky to provide them the means to continue to fight. Timing couldn't be more wrong. When I see the strikers flag waiving on a picket line I don't question that person's patriotism, but I do question why the hell now. We have to think of our sons and daughters on the front lines at a time like this and get our asses in gear to support them. Shame on Sikorsky and those strikers who picked this time to squabble. Get your heads together, work it out and get your asses back to a working solution. Both sides have their issues and valid points but please get it worked out so our troops can get the product support that Sikorsky and its employees has provided previously. It would be a dam shame to lose even one member of our armed forces to an aircraft that couldn't make mission. Shame on all of you if this ever happens.
