    Jennifer Butler plans a fall fashion show

    OK, I'll have to admit it's been awhile since I dressed up in drag, so I can't claim to be an expert on dresses.

    Let's see ... when I was four, I played Jane and my older sister played Tarzan, but that was only because she was better at speaking in two-word sentences. And then there was that Halloween party in 1992...

    Be that as it may, there's a little dress shop in the heart of Fairfield that has some really incredible wearable works of art, if I may be so bold. I'm talking about Jennifer Butler, the dressmaker whose skill at the Singer machine is matched only by her rapier wit.

    She's having her fall fashion show on Sept. 6 in the Fairfield Theatre Company, which is a few paces away from the Fairfield railroad station. (For those of you with kids, it's not far from Blinn's)
