Lieutenants no more
First of all: Steve Regier's a Blue. (Chris Holt, among others, is a Riverman, Dave reports.)
Now, the daily Tampa Bay signings: Brandon Bochenski, for crying out loud. Evgeny Artyukhin, back from Russia at last. And apparently Andrew Hutchinson. It is shorter and easier to report who isn't signing with Tampa Bay.
Pittsburgh gets Adam Henrich and T.J. Kemp, and there's something about Joey Mormina in the comments over on Jonathan's blog. It's nice that Jonathan updates before he signs with Tampa, too.
Dan Hickman of Hamden is among Danbury's first signings, reports our man Rich Gregory up there.
And as noted, I'm kind of in withdrawal, so…

Very sad to hear about Regier's departure. Knowing that Fata is gone and I believe I read somewhere that Morency will only get a tryout (no guarantee of a contract), will the Sound Tigers really let Brennan walk too? That would mean that arguably the 4 most popular players from last year's team will be gone. This assumes other fan favs Okposo, Tamby, and Blake C. will make the Isles. I am really scratching my head over the roster moves both the Isles and Tigers have made. It may be a very long 2008-09 season and both teams may be playing in front of very small crowds.

Has anyone else noticed that since free agency has opened up the players who didn't get qualifying offers signed somewhere else within the week and the players who were made offers haven't signed yet....
