    Move over, Tiffany

Remember Tiffany, the teen pop queen who cemented her popularity among the Clearasil set by performing in shopping malls? Well, welcome to the TV version.
Starting tomorrow the new WB-UPN hybrid network The CW will launch The CW Lounge, in which stars of CW shows will travel to Westfield shopping malls across the country to commune with fans and generate buzz for their new home.

Unfortunately, the Lounge isn't coming to any Connecticut malls, though there will be an appearance tomorrow and Sunday at the Westfield Sunrise/Massapequa Westfield in New York by "One Tree Hill" stars James Lafferty and Bethany Joy Galeotti.
The Lounge will also allow visitors to create customized t-shirts, and will feature laptops, where consumers can log on to the network's web site.
The mall idea is intriguing, and fairly smart, considering that The CW's key audience will likely be teens and 20-somethings. The WB was particularly well-known for packaging its attractive young stars as "brands" -- commodities whom they could use to launch shows. UPN also appealed to youth, though not quite as vigorously as The WB.
But this is the dawning of a new era. Now, stars of both networks have to go out and kiss the bottoms of potential new young viewers.
It should be interesting to watch, especially since the Aug. 19 and 20 edition of The CW Lounge, taking place at Westfield Century City in Los Angeles, will feature appearances by both Jason Dohring and Matt Czuchry.
As you may now, Dohring plays Logan Echolls on "Veronica Mars" and Czuchry plays Logan Huntzberger on "Gilmore Girls." I'm a little sad I won't get to see both Logans together. I imagine the two of them having a Logan-off, which I picture as being just like the walkoff in "Zoolander," only way hotter.
    Well, I can dream.
