« "Cancel One Show" update | Main | My letter, in case you're interested »

    May 3, 2007

    No more "Gilmore!"

Take that, whiny "Gilmore Girls" fans! The CW announced today that, after much speculation, it is indeed canceling "Gilmore Girls" after seven seasons. To which I say, thank goodness. I'm so glad that the show is going out while it still has at least a little air left in its sails. I've said all season that ending the show now is a good idea. That's why I put it on my "Cancel One Show" list (it came in second -- read more about that in Tuesday's paper).
Yes, I know many fans wanted "Gilmore" to stay, but be reasonable. Rory's graduation from college is a natural ending for the show. It makes sense to end it now, instead of dragging it out indefinitely.
So take a deep breath. I promise, this is for the best.
The series finale airs May 15 at 8 p.m.
