A generous response
Can someone tell me why the audience was laughing so hard at Lewis Black's performance on stage? I mean, I love the guy, but his stuff was pretty lame. News crawls, annoying TV promos and the like are pretty broad targets, and his stuff didn't have enough edge to compensate for the familiarity of the subject matter.
I don't know. Maybe the Emmy folks are just easy laughs.
