    Tuesday's with Randy

Some quick hits from UConn coach Randy Edsall's meeting with reporters Tuesday morning:

-- RB Andre Dixon (ankle) has been practicing and doing well, according to Edsall.

-- DE Lindsey Witten (knee) was hoping to practice Tuesday. Edsall said Witten was somewhere between questionable and probable.

-- WR Brad Kanuch (hamstring) practiced with the first two units, not the scout team as he did over the weekend. Kanuch might return to action this week.

-- G Alex LaMagdelaine (shoulder) will have surgery and is out indefinitely. Trey Tonsing has moved from center to guard to add depth to that position.

-- KR/RB Jordan Todman (shoulder) is still week-to-week. "Getting closer, though," Edsall said.

-- The coach still didn't want to talk about the end of last year's Temple-UConn game.

“I’m not worried about last year’s game. I’m worried about this year’s game,” Edsall said.

-- Edsall said he still wasn't sure when CB Darius Butler might see some plays on offense. It depends on injuries, circumstances and other issues, Edsall said.
