Haralson to Tulsa
UConn guard Scottie Haralson, who spent just one season in Storrs, will transfer to Tulsa the school announced Sunday.
Haralson will have to sit out one year before playing for the Golden Hurricane.
Harlson is not the only transfer to make a new home in Tulsa. The program also welcomed D.J. Magley of Western Kentucky recently.
"Scottie is a great addition to our team. He compliments DJ Magley extremely well for the future, and then obviously losing Ben Uzoh next year he can step in there," Tulsa coach Doug Wojcik said in a release. "Scottie fills a huge need. He's a big, strong and powerful kid who can really shoot the basketball. He was a very exceptional high school player with national recognition."
A 6-foot-4 guard, Haralson played in 17 games as a true freshman for the Huskies. He averaged 1.4 points per game. Seven of his eight field goals were 3-pointers.
